Cobourg Police investigating damage to bus shelters

Another bus shelter has been damaged in Cobourg. The incident follows another one earlier this month and three in November.

The most recent incident Cobourg Police are investigating occurred at the shelter in the area of College Street and King Street East at 5 a.m. Dec. 28 when the glass walls shattered.

Investigators are seeking to identify any suspects and are appealing to members of the public for tips in relation to the damage. 

The other bus shelters damaged were Nov. 18 at Walton Street and King Street East; Nov. 20 at Densmore Road and Parkview Hills Drive as well as one on Elgin Street West and Dec. 2 at D’Arcy Street and Elgin Street West.

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious, or has video surveillance or dashcam footage of the area is asked to call police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting stopcrimehere.ca.
