33-year-old Richard Vader, the subject of an extensive search on Wednesday in the Quinte West area was seen in Campbellford yesterday afternoon.
A stolen truck was abandoned behind a business on Second Street (near Centre Street). Vader fled from police on foot in a southerly direction towards Ferris Provincial Park.
The K9 Unit and a search helicopter have been called in to assist.
OPP warn that Vader may be armed and dangerous and not to approach him. Area residents are asked to report any suspicious persons by way of 911 and to remain vigilant while the search continues.
