Community Care announces change to grocery runs

By Cecilia Nasmith

The twice-weekly grocery shuttle runs for Cramahe Township residents, organized by Community Care Northumberland in the wake of the loss of the Colborne Foodland, will be continued but amended.

Community Care has issued a newsletter saying they will continue, and that the $10 round-trip price still holds, but the service will now be offered on a pre-booked basis.

Shuttles will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays to anyone who books by phone no later than 2 p.m. the day before.

While it is possible to book a Monday or Friday shuttle, some restrictions apply (which can be discussed when you call to book).

The service will ferry shoppers to grocery stores in Brighton or Cobourg, and the $5-each-way ($10 round-trip) fee still applies.

For more information, or to book call 1-866-768-7778.
