Cobourg council plans special meeting Monday

The newly inaugurated Cobourg council announces a special meeting Monday, Nov. 28, at 5 p.m. - a departure from the usual 6 p.m. meeting time.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider the following items.

  • A memo from the Municipal Clerk/Director of Legislative Services regarding the Striking Committee recommendations regarding governance and appointments.

  • A memo from the Municipal Clerk/Director of Legislative Services regarding the 2022-2023 meeting schedule for council.

  • A memo from the Director of Planning and Development regarding an overview of the provincial government's Bill 23 (More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022)

  • A memo from the Treasure/Director of Corporate Services regarding a banking resolution.

This meeting will have a hybrid format, and members of the public are invited to attend in person or watch from home via the town's eScribe website. The meeting will also be recorded for those who prefer to watch at a later date.
