Northumberland Hills Hospital welcomes all interested members of the community to its annual general meeting, which will take place June 25 at 5 p.m. at the Peter B. and Mary T. Smith Community Education Centre on the second floor at 1000 DePalma Dr., Cobourg.
Items of business include minutes of the 2018 annual general meeting, financial report, auditor's report, appointment of the auditor for 2019-2020, report of the board chair, report of the president and chief executive officer, and report of the nominating committee for the election of directors.
The focus of the keynote address is the continuum of palliative care in Northumberland County, with three local palliative-care leaders speaking – Community Care Northumberland executive director Trish Baird, Comunity Care's regional hospice-program co-ordinator Cheryl McFarlane and NHH palliative and pain-management service lead Dr. Francesco Mule.
