The Township of Cramahe welcomes Rudab Nadeem as Treasurer, effective Monday.

Hers is the second new face at the township in as many weeks, with Chris Curwin assuming duties as Manager of Parks, Recreation and Facilities last Monday.

“We welcome Rudab to our dynamic team of managers,” Mayor Mandy Martin said in the announcement.

“With this appointment, Cramahe Township council signals a return to the dedicated position of Treasurer for Cramahe Township, reflecting the ever-increasing complexity and requirement for financial administration in municipal government.”

Rudab is a St. Lawrence college graduate, holding a three-year advanced diploma in Business Administration-Accounting. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Laurentian University, and is currently enrolled in the Certified Public Accountancy program. She has completed the OMTRA municipal property taxation program as well as the MFDA municipal finance courses.

“I have been working with municipal government holding different positions within the finance department for the last nine years,” she said in the press release.

“My most recent position was Supervisor of Property Taxation and Revenue with the City of Kingston and, most recently, as Manager of Finance and Support Services (Deputy Treasurer) with the Town of Arnprior.

“The main areas of focus over the years of my career have been the consolidated financial statements, yearly audits, operating and capital budgets, taxation and revenue management, and asset-management plans,” she listed.

“I look forward to championing Cramahe Township.”
