Northumberland Learning Connection anounces the cancellation of its Spring 2020 program on Alberta.
The announcement cited the closure of Victoria Hall and other public venues for a period of time, as well as directives to discourage large public gatherings. For this reason (as well as concern for the series's patrons and speakers) the series – which would have kicked off with an April 2 presentation at Victoria Hall by Reform Party founder Preston Manning and continued through May 8 – is cancelled.
Organizers hope to reschedule the Alberta program as their Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 series. Meanwhile, those who bought tickets can expect a refund in the next few weeks.
“We appreciate your patience as we deal with this process,” the announcement said.
“Like countless businesses and organizations in Canada, NLC will feel the economic impact of COVID-19. We will be back, and we look forward to your continued support.”
