A four-day manhunt for fugitive Richard Vader is over.

The 33-year-old Vader who Northumberland OPP warned was dangerous and possibly armed was taken into custody without incident early Saturday evening near the Village of Wallbridge, east of Frankford.

Vader was wanted for several domestic related charges stemming from an incident in the Quinte West area, as well as several other charges incurred recently.

The extensive search, which started last Wednesday in Quinte West, followed a path including Campbellford, Stirling-Rawdon and Belleville.

The manhunt involved several OPP resources, including the K-9 Unit, Emergency Response Team, Tactical Rescue Unit, an OPP helicopter and the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad.

During the ordeal, he is alleged to have stolen several vehicles while fleeing Police.

Convicted of weapons charges in 2010, Vader will appear in Belleville court tomorrow and faces a lengthy list of charges.
