The Town of Cobourg is launching its "Capture Cobourg" photo contest for citizens of all ages to enter for a chance to win great prizes.
The contest provides an opportunity for citizens to capture the essence of the Town through innovative and creative colours, angles and perspectives. Participants are encouraged to submit unique photographs that showcase Cobourg’s many flattering assets in a way that differentiates Cobourg from other communities.
The contest runs from Friday, August 18, 2017 and closes on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 4 p.m. EST. Participants are asked to submit up to a maximum of two (2) entries online at www.cobourg.ca into any of the following categories:
1. Covering Cobourg: One shot that captures the essence of our town
2. Adventures in Cobourg: Open to participants 14 and younger
3. Share a Secret: Capture the character of Cobourg as only you know it
4. Local Lens: Find something Cobourg is known for and show it in a different way
All entries will be displayed on the Town of Cobourg’s Facebook page beginning October 2, 2017. Photos will be open for votes from October 3-11, 2017. The top three photographs (receiving the most likes) will advance to the final round of judging which will take place at Victoria Hall on October 16, 2017. The winning entry from each category will be published in the 2018 Official Cobourg Visitors’ Guide and receive a $50 gift certificate to a local business.
