The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing to investigate the death of an adult male who was located on a residential property on County Road 2, east of the town of Colborne.
On Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at approximately 7:00 p.m., OPP officers and Northumberland Paramedics arrived at the scene and found a male inside an outbuilding with obvious signs of trauma and no vital signs.
On Saturday, May 23, 2020, a post mortem examination was conducted in Toronto. The OPP is currently awaiting results for the confirmation of the identity of the deceased.
Members of the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit and Central Region Forensic Identification Services (FIS), in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario, are currently investigating this incident as a homicide under the direction of the OPP's Criminal Investigation Branch.
