Teachers' Strike Actions - Northumberland County Round-Up

With multiple education worker unions in our area, there may be some confusion as to when strike action may take place that would affect parents and students.

For the week of February 3-7 the following job actions are known to be taking place.

Parents/guardians and students may experience some minor delays during drop-off and pick-up times Monday (Feb. 3, 2020) as members of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) engage in a third information picket. The union plans to have information pickets at every school Monday before and after school.

Additionally, ALL PVNC schools will be closed to students on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020 as OECTA engages in a one-day full withdrawal of service. All student transportation to PVNC schools will be cancelled that day.
