Septic permits go online

Northumberland County announces a new on-line septic -permit application portal as a remote, convenient and paper-free option for the septic-system process.

“This on-line portal allows applicants to easily submit, purchase and track septic-permit applications from any internet-connected computer or mobile device, at any time of day,” Land Use Planning and Inspection Services Manager Dwayne Campbell said in the announcement,

“This on-line portal will help streamline the permit process and offer a more convenient submission option for homeowners and industry professionals.”'

The new portal offers applicants the means to:

  • submit and pay for applications

  • review the status of their applications

  • schedule inspections

  • review inspection results

  • track all applications remotely

In addition to the on-line portal, applications will still be accepted by e-mail and in person.
