The Northumberland Nemesis U13 box lacrosse team won its division this past weekend at the 2023 Laker Classic in Peterborough.
The Nemesis doubled up the host Peterborough Lakers 6-3 in the championship final with Cam Pemberton and Mason Mitchell tallying two goals apiece and Mason Lowe and Macarthur Wylde also scoring. Goaltender Tucker Williams earned the win in net.
Northumberland also earned wins over the St. Catharines Athletics (5-4), Toronto Beaches (7-4), Nepean Knights (4-3), Gloucester Griffins (8-0) and 5-2 over the London Blue Devils in the semifinals.
Members of the team are Tucker Williams, Cody Mechetuk, Mason Lowe, Blake Rypstra, Preston Neill, Nicholas Nalysnyk, Coulter Watson, Zach Miedema, Griffin Ormond, Cam Pemberton, Hunter Withers, Macarthur Wylde, Bobby Scutton, Mason Mitchell, Magnus Hutchings and Carter Richards.
