Portion of Telephone Road will be closed three weeks

By Cecilia Nasmith

Northumberland County advises the community that a portion of Telephone Road in Hamilton Township at County Road 18 (Burnham Street North) will be closed for about three weeks, beginning Monday, Oct. 3.

The purpose of this closure is the reconstruction of a short portion of Telephone Road as part of intersection improvements under way at this location. Traffic to and from County Road 18 will be redirected to County Road 74 (Dale Road) and Theatre Road during this closure.

The county urges everyone to drive with caution in this vicinity and to follow the posted detour signage.

“We apologize for any inconvenience during construction and thank you for your patience,” the announcement said.
