Peterborough County OPP looking to identify theft suspects

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have been called to investigate theft incidents which occurred at businesses on County Road 18 and County Road 1.

On December 7th, 2022, at approximately 3:00am a lone male suspect is seen on surveillance video removing a catalytic converter from a vehicle at a business on County Road 18. 

On December 14th, 2022, at approximately 12:30am, suspects entered a property and stole catalytic converters from two parked vehicles at a location on County Road 1. Two suspects and their vehicle were captured on surveillance video.

The vehicle in both incidents is described as a red Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix, possibly from 2000-2007-year models. There were 2 hood scoops on the vehicle along with a sunroof, a rear spoiler, and the driver's side bottom reverse light is burnt out. One male is seen wearing light coloured pants and a dark hoodie. The second male is seen wearing light pants and a dark and white coloured coat. 

Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects in this case. Police urge the public to call in tips on this case, or others, to the Peterborough County OPP at 705-742-0401, the non-emergency line (888) 310-1122 or to Crime Stoppers.
