It's boat lift time again

Road and parking lot closures can be expected in the Town of Cobourg, starting Thursday, to accommodate the annual Cobourg Marina boat lift and hauling.

Closures include pedestrian traffic, the announcement said.

“In an effort to complete these operations in the safest manner possible, we must keep guests from the path of the hauler and will make every effort to open walkways wherever possible,” it added.

Weather permitting, all work should be completed and roads reopened by Sunday. The town will provide additional notification in case there are delays.

For Thursday and Friday, closures include:

• Harbour West Basin parking log

• Hibernia Street south of Third

• Third Street between Hibernia and The Esplanade

• Division Street south of the Explanade

Saturday closures include:

• The Esplanade

• Division Street south of The Esplanade

As for Sunday, the West Harbour Basin parking lot will be closed.
