DBIA announces new administrator

The Downtown Cobourg DBIA is pleased to announce the appointment of Deborah Annibalini as Administrator – currently in her first week on the job.
“Deborah is an engaging and service-drive administrator with a track record of successfully managing priorities and resources for Business Improvement Areas at Fairbank Village and Corso Italia in the Greater Toronto Area,” the press release stated.
“After a comprehensive search of qualified candidates, Deborah was recognized as an experienced administrator committed to upholding a high standard of professionalism and determined to contribute to the members of the Cobourg DBIA.”
The release cited Annibalini's experience in accounting, event management, budget preparation, written and verbal communications, brand ambassadorship, customer service, volunteer team leadership and regulatory compliance.”
DBIA Board of Management Chair Erika Cotton said they are excited to welcome her to the team.
“Deborah has many skills and experience that will be very beneficial to our members as we move into this post-pandemic period, and help rebuild and market our businesses and services downtown as a place to visit, shop and support,” Cotton added.
Annibalini's duties will include maintaining and updating the members' database and directory, prepare budgets, schedule meetings and prepare agendas with the Board Chair, as well as regularly updating the DBIA website, facilitating social media and e-mail marketing activities, preparing and distributing member correspondences as directed by the board, and regular in-person communications with DBIA members throughout the year.
She will also monitor all streetscape programs and permits as directed by the board, and she will be responsible for monitoring such public-works activities as sidewalk repairs, hydro infrastructure for events and other work required to implement set-up for streetscape events.
There are promotional duties as well – co-ordination of community events (as directed by the DBIA Board), as well as administration and leadership roles.
