Looking ahead to instituting its own upper-tier development charge, Northumberland County will host a March 24 public meeting on the initiative to present information and receive public input on its proposed Development Charges Bylaw and Background Study.
The meeting will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. in the council chambers (second floor) at the county building located at 555 Courthouse Rd., Cobourg.
Those who attend may make representations relating to the proposed bylaw and study, and those with comments to offer can do so at the meeting or in writing. Anyone wishing to be included on the meeting agenda is asked to get a written submission in to the county clerk at the county building prior to 4 p.m. March 17.
The full background study is available online at Northumberland.ca/DevelopmentCharges, and copies of the study and bylaw are available at the county building.
