One of the most enjoyable ways to welcome summer is also one of the most important Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation fundraisers – Wine & Ale in the Park, planned this year for June 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Victoria Park.

And the Foundation announces that tickets are available as of 11 a.m. May 15.

As in past years, the event features pairing stations tastefully put together to feature delicious local cuisines and a variety of wines and ales from Northumberland vendors.

Confirmed food vendors to date include The Mill Restaurant & Pub, Craft Food House, Toller Pizza, Everyday Chef's est and Prep Food Co.

Drink pairings to accompany the culinary delights on offer include selections fro confirmed drink vendors Northumberland Hills Brewery, Focal Brewery, Brock Street Brewery and Ganaraska Brewing Co.

For the eighth year in a row, Wine & Ale is proudly presented by Tony Pulla RE/MAX Lakeshore Realty Inc. - and once again, the event takes place under the Lions Club of Cobourg tent in the park.

Committee Co-chair Wendy Ito offered thanks to all who are coming together to make the event possible.

“From our food and beverage vendors to the Lions Club of Cobourg once again donating the space and, of course, our community-minded and generous sponsor Tony Pulla, this is a true community event for our hospital,” Ito said.

“We can't wait to welcome guests on the evening of June 28 to kick off the summer season in support of NHH:

Tickets are $75, and include two beverage vouchers plus samplings of delicious foods (with additional beverage vouchers available at the event for $5 each). You can purchase tickets online at www.nhhfoundation,ca/events

Guests are encouraged to snag their tickets early, as they are expected to sell quickly. Proceeds will help fund priority medical equipment and technology at NHH.
