The Municipality of Port Hope has announced that the boat launch, located at the bottom of Mill Street, is now open and that the usual launch fees have been waived for users.
The opening of the boat launch has been delayed due to elevated water levels in Lake Ontario, caused by heavy rainfall this season.
The boat launch has been inspected and deemed safe for use. The Marina, however, remains closed for the duration of the season.
