Cobourg Police received a complaint of a theft of credit card from an unlocked vehicle . The credit (card) was then used at a number of locations in The Town of Cobourg.
The theft was unwitnessed however Police were able to determine the suspects involved using bank records and checking surveillance video.
As a result, Cobourg resident Mark Whitefield age 41 is charged with the following offences;
Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card contrary to sec.342(3) C.C.C Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under 5,000.
Contrary to sec.355(b) C.C.C. Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to sec. 733.1(1) C.C.C.
The accused was released from custody with a future court date.
