On the eve of their 2018 poppy campaign, members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 30 (Port Hope) have made a donation from past poppy proceeds to Northumberland Hills Hospital.
Four members recently presented the $7,200 cheque at the hospital to fund the purchase of four new dialysis treatment chairs. The hospital foundation thanked the delegation for their support of equipment that will serve the patients of West Northumberland.
Foundation leadership gifts officer Adrienne Burns was joined by dialysis unit registered nurses Jin Kwok and Amanda Lent in accepting the gift from president Andre Labrosse, third vice-chair Ford Underwood, poppy chair John DeBoer and executive member Melodie Hodges.
