At Tuesday night's Port Hope council meeting, Mayor Olena Hankivsky shared news that she and councillor Les Andrews have been working on the re-opening of the walk-in health clinic on Toronto Road.
A number of successful meetings have taken place involving the Rotary Club of Port Hope and the Port Hope and District Health Care Foundation, the mayor said, adding the next steps are working towards a budget and recruiting a number of physicians and other positions to ensure the clinic is open in the coming months.
Mayor Hankivsky said stay tuned for more as they are proud of the achievement and are hopeful to have the service back up and running in the community.
