Voters in Alnwick-Haldimand Township have a chance to meet their candidates in October's election on an up-close-and-personal basis Sunday in Centreton.
Hosted by Marg Benns, the event is described as a Meet And Greet that runs from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Centreton Town Hall, located at 2363 County Rd. 23.
The official list of candidates leads off with three running for the mayor's seat. Former Mayor John Logel is up against Gritt Koehl and Steve Gilchrist.
For Deputy Mayor, Councillor Jim Hogg is running against former Councillor Joan Stover.
For the three council seats, incumbent Greg Booth is hoping for re-election and the other candidates are Mike Ainsworth, Chris Block, Ronald Farrow, Dorothy Noronha, Mary Catherine O'Neill and Cathie Ritchie.
It's a drop-in format, organizers say, so feel free to arrive and leave as you wish.
