Do you want to build a snowperson?

By Cecilia Nasmith

The Town of Cobourg's Community Services Division invites everyone to celebrate the winter – and all that snow – with a “Snowman Building Extravaganza”.

Between now and Jan. 31, this at-home event encourages residents to build their own snowperson (or snowperson community) while enjoying the outdoors. Then submit a photo of your snow art for a chance at one of 10 prizes being offered – gift cards worth $30 good at any local business.

“We want to encourage safe and fun activities for all ages and, after having our first major snowfall of the year, this is a great time to make some creative snow art,” Councillor Adam Bureau – Coordinator of Arts, Culture and Tourism – said in the announcement.

“This event is a way to encourage our residents to enjoy the snow, get creative and have fun as a community,”

Just follow three simple steps.

Tap into your inner sculptor to build that work of art in the snow.

Take a photo of your snow art and e-mail it to jchapmandavis@cobourg.ca by Jan. 31 to be entered in the draw.

Share your participation on social media, tagged @townofcobourg and @experiencecobourg.
