Kate Current named to Team Canada for Pan-Am Games

Cobourg’s Kate Current has been named to Canada’s team for the Pan-Am Games, which will be held Oct. 20 to Nov. 5 in Santiago, Chile. 

Current will compete in the women’s 1,500 metre run just as she did at the World Championships in Budapest last month. This will be the third time this year the former Cobourg Collegiate Institute runner has represented Canada in international competition. She also competed at the World Cross Country Championships back in February in Australia.

On Monday she caught up with Northumberland 89.7’s Jeff Gard.
