COVID-19 update for waste services:
Good morning everyone, I wanted to share some important updates regarding waste operations, closures and cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
1. Curbside collection of garbage, green bin, and recycling continues as normally.
2. Our Community Recycling Centres are currently operating. However, we strongly encourage residents to stay home during this time, and only visit these sites if absolutely necessary.
3. Household Hazardous Waste is not being accepted at the Brighton or Bewdley sites, until further notice. Cobourg and Seymour depot events planned for April, have been cancelled.
4. The Material Recovery Facility in Grafton is operating
but closed to the public.
5. The Annual Open House and BBQ planned for April 25th has been postponed until a later date.
6. The Mayors' Keep the County Clean litter pickup program and the Roadside Pickup program has been cancelled.
