Residents are advised that Northumberland County is gathering data about local internet connection speeds as part of their ongoing effort to address broadband challenges in the community. This is an opportunity for Municipality of Port Hope residents to contribute to the research by participating in a free online internet speed test, available through the County’s website.
The data collected by the County will serve as a helpful tool as the County continues to advance opportunities to improve local internet access and connectivity.
Information gathered during the test may be used to assist internet service providers operating in Northumberland to develop plans and acquire funding for infrastructure to improve access for unserved or underserved areas.
