Councillor Aaron Burchat updated council at Tuesday's meeting on Cobourg building-department statistics.

For the month of October, 23 building permits were issued, representing 27 new dwelling units worth an estimated construction value of more than $3.2-million. Associated permits and fees brought in $57,000 in revenue for the town.

Burchat also provided year-to-date statistics as of the end of October. For those 10 months, 439 permits were issued, representing 93 dwelling units worth an estimated construction value of more than $30.7-million. Associated permits and fees brought in more than $405,000 for the town.

At the next Police Services Board meeting, Burchat said, he would be bringing up the matter of police statistics and how these could best be shared with council.
