Cobourg

The Town of Cobourg reminds residents that an Itinerant Vendor Licence is required to sell goods or services door-to-door – and that there are currently no Itinerant Vendor Licences issued.

Under the Itinerant Vendor Bylaw (005-20215), the licence is also needed for displaying samples of goods to be delivered at a later date, or for doing business at a place in town other than one's permanent place of business.

Any resident who believes a vendor is selling goods or services door-to-door without such a licence is advised to ask the vendor to show his or her Itinerant Vendor Licence. They ate also advised to call Municipal Law Enforcement (905-372-8380) to report the company name and contact details.
