A Cobourg man, well known to police and has a history of threatening people is again arrested for apparently threatening to kill people at a local business.

Daniel Annesley is accused of going into a business on the northeast end of Cobourg on Tuesday and making the deadly threat.

He was arrested Thursday and was released on bail. Police claim that at the time of his arrest, he had been previously released by the courts on two separate release orders and subject to probation, all related to charges of Uttering Threats.

Cobourg Police assert that  since September 2024, Annesley has been arrested five times with ten criminal charges, including three charges of utter threats stemming from different incidents. In total, police have had 39 interactions with the accused in the past year.
