The Town of Cobourg's annual Marina boat lift-out is scheduled for the first and last weekends in October.
The first lift will see boat hauling Saturday, Oct. 4, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. To accommodate this, the Esplanade (including the east and west parking lots) will be closed from Wednesday, Oct. 1, through Sunday, Oct. 5.
The second lift will see boat hauling Saturday, Oct. 25, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. To accommodate this, the Esplanade (including the east and west parking lots) will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 22, through Sunday, Oct. 26.
Additional parking-lot and road closures for both weekends include the Harbour West Basin parking lot, Hibernia Street (south of Third), Third Street (between Hibernia and the Esplanade), Division Street (south of the Esplanade) and the Esplanade.
Please note that these closure include pedestrian traffic, in order to complete these operations in the safest manner possible in light of the heavy equipment that will be in use. Every effort will be made to open walkways and roads when it is safe to do so between preparation and hauling procedures.
