Cobourg

Drivers on King Street in Cobourg's east end should expect significant delays the first three weeks in October for important work on the Cobourg East Community Trunk Servicing project.

With funding through the province's Housing Enabling Water System Fund, new trunk sanitary sewer line is being installed along Willmott Street. This work began at Thompson Street and is approaching King Street East.

It will be installed across this major road in two stages, reducing King Street East traffic to a single lane controlled by temporary traffic signals.

A temporary traffic signal will also be installed on Willmott Street, with right turns from Willmott onto King restricted for trucks and large vehicles.

These lane closures are expected to continue for about three weeks, beginning Oct. 1. The Town of Cobourg thanks residents and guests for their patience and understanding as this work is completed.
