Cobourg Police are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins this week.

Officers were called to the area of Caddy Drive and Wilkins Gate Tuesday as a homeowner alleged their vehicle window was smashed, their bag rummaged through, but nothing was taken.

As officers were canvassing for witnesses and video evidence, they apparently located another vehicle in that area where a vehicle door was ajar. An engine control module was allegedly taken.

Police were later called to the area of Carlisle Street for another theft from a vehicle. The complainant advised their driver's licence and bank cards had been taken.

Authorities are asking for any witnesses to these incidents or video to forward it to police.
