A 35-year-old Hastings woman is facing impaired driving charges after being stopped at a R.I.D.E. checkpoint early Saturday morning in Asphodel-Norwood Township.

Police say the driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested after providing a breath sample over the legal limit.

The 35-year-old woman is charged with operating a vehicle while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.

She has received a licence suspension and her vehicle has been impounded.

She will appear in Peterborough court next month.
