Winter parking regulations now apply in Cobourg

In order to keep major roads clear for snow-clearing operations, the Town of Cobourg begins limiting on-street parking on those roads starting now and running through March 31

The Town of Cobourg reminds residents that winter parking bylaws are now in effect to ensure safe and efficient snow-clearing operations this winter.

The aim is to keep collector and arterial roads clear for safe passage and maneuvering of equipment.

Parking Bylaw 048-2023 sets out designated collector and arterial roads to which restrictions apply between Nov. 1 and March 31 between the hours of 2 and 7 a.m.

Check the Town of Cobourg Winter Parking Map for a list of applicable streets.

The bylaw also bans parking at any time on all cul-de-sacs and wide corners during the winter season. For more information and a list of affected cul-de-sacs and wide corners, refer to Bylaw 048-2023 Schedule N. For the winter months, there is parking on Havelock Lane, Balls Lane, Park Lane, Jex Lane, Caddy Drive, John Fairhurst and New Amherst lay-bys.
