Port Hope

The Municipality of Port Hope's Environmental Advisory Committee announces its first-ever Sustainability Expo, a showcase of sustainable initiatives and activities implemented by local community groups, organizations and local businesses.

Residents and community partners are invited to explore sustainable living and nature-based solutions at the free all-ages event that runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Port Hope High School (130 Highland Dr.).

Councillor Claire Holloway Wadhwani, who chairs the committee, called the event “a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, share knowledge and learn from one another about practical and innovative ways to support a more sustainable future.

“This event showcases the incredible efforts of local organizations and individuals who are leading the way in environmental stewardship. I encourage all residents to attend, engage with our community partners and explore how small changes can make a big impact.”

The expo showcases local initiatives that can transform the community, from sustainable gardening and energy conservation to waste reduction and green infrastructure installations. There will be interactive displays, expert-led discussions and the opportunity to engage with local sustainability advocates to discover how they can contribute to building a more resilient and sustainable future.
