The Municipality of Port Hope is pleased to announce that its new 2024 Year In Review web page is now ready for public viewing.

This digital platform highlights the municipality's key achievements and initiatives throughout the past year, showcasing the hard work and dedication of staff across various departments.

The site is organized by department in an easy-to-navigate format to explore details of projects, initiatives and services that have shaped the community – from significant projects to the every-day operations that contribute to the community's growth and well-being.

In the announcement, Interim Chief Administrative Officer Tonia Bennett called it “an opportunity to reflect on the hard work and commitment of our staff. It demonstrates the exceptional progress we've made while setting the stage for future growth and development. We're proud of our accomplishments and excited about the continued momentum in the year ahead.”

The Year In Review includes a special section dedicated to council's major achievements, a snapshot of the past year's decisions and policy advancements focusing on initiatives – from infrastructure improvement to fostering greater representation – that support sustainable developments, enhance inclusivity and promote community well-being.

Other highlights focus on some of the municipality's less-visible successes, providing valuable insight into the efforts that keep Port Hope running smoothly.

“As we review 2024, we recognize the many ways the municipality delivers essential services, programs, initiatives that support our whole community every day,” Mayor Olena Hankivsky commented.

“Our dedicated staff play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing these services, from infrastructure and public safety to community programs and environmental initiatives. I'm proud of their efforts and the progress we've made together, and I look forward to building on this momentum in 2025.”
