Charges laid in Cobourg rail crossing incident

A Cobourg man is facing charges, after his vehicle was struck by a train last week.

Police responded to the D’Arcy Street rail crossing at approximately 5:30 AM Thursday.

The westbound train collided with the vehicle, sending the driver to hospital with minor injuries.

The unidentified man was charged with driving a motor vehicle with no permit and failing to stop at a railway crossing signal.
