Back for a third year, EarlyON Family Fun Bingo offers families a chance for fun and fellowship, as well as a draw for an Ontario Parks pass.
Northumberland County announces another round of EarlyON Family Fun Bingo through February and March.
This annual competition invites families with young children to join the fun by enjoying family activities and attending free EarlyON Child and Family Centre programs throughout the county, while filling up their bingo cards. Families who complete their cards will receive a small reward and be entered into a draw for the chance to win one of two 2025 Annual Day-Use Vehicle Permits for Ontario Parks.
“We're very excited to bring back our Family Fun Bingo competition for a third year, in time for Family Day weekend, Early Years Service Manager Leslie Patterson said in the announcement.
“This family-friendly competition is a great way to make lasting memories together and meet other families with children of a similar age.”
This year's line-up of events includes the upcoming Snow Much Fun event, a number of March Break programs at various family-friendly destinations and regular programming at EarlyON centres (such as story times, hikes, gym time and exploration programs.
The Snow Much Fun event is coming up Friday, Feb. 28, a free activity co-ordinated in collaboration with the Township of Hamilton. Bring the kids to the Baltimore Recreation Centre (23 Community Centre Rd.) from 9 a.m. to noon for a morning filled with winter-fun activities. From 9 to 11 a.m., explore snow sculptures, snow shoeing and big machines, followed by a free parent-and-tot skate from 11 a.m. to noon.
EarlyOn also offers a variety of free programs throughout the year for families with children aged six and under, such as the programming at eight local EarlyON Child and Family Centres and a number of partner locations – community centres, libraries, parks and more. This programming offers families the opportunity to connect with others, explore together and enjoy activities that foster creativity, learning and fun. There are indoor and outdoor options available on weekdays, evenings and weekends, and also special programs for new and expecting parents.
Family Fun Bingo cards are available, starting Feb. 18, at your local EarlyON Centre, or print one off by visiting the EarlyOn Northumberland webpage at Northumberland.ca/EarlyON. Each square represents an activity you can complete in person, on-line or at home – check off each corresponding square on the card as you complete an activity until you have a full line vertically, horizontally or diagonally.
Submit your completed card to an EarlyON Educator between Feb. 19 and March 28 for your reward and to be entered into the draw. Winners will be chosen at random and contacted by April 14.
