With their latest $6,000 donation, Canadian Tire Cobourg has now given a total of $30,000 to Northumberland's Food 4 All Warehouse over the past nine years.
Northumberland County announces that its Food 4 All Warehouse received a very generous Christmas gift of $6,000 from Canadian Tire Cobourg.
This brings the total support from Canadian Tire to $30,000 over the past nine years, building on a long history of supporting food security in the community that Associate Dealer Peter Puglia says is important.
“We know that Food 4 All does great work in Northumberland County, and we are happy to support them,” Puglia said in the announcement.
Food 4 All supplies food and essential items to local food banks, not-for-profit agencies and school-nutrition programs throughout the county. In 2024, they distributed more than 1.27-million lb. of product, reaching more than 5,600 individuals and making significant strides in alleviating hunger.
County Facilities and Food Security Services Manager Rob O'Neil extended his thanks.
“Food security is vital to ensure a thriving community,” O'Neil stated.
“Hunger can impact health, education and over-all well-being of community members. Every meal or household product we distribute makes a tangible difference in the lives of community members who are struggling to make ends meet, and donations like these ensure we can continue to meet the growing needs of our community.
“With the help of compassionate partners like Canadian Tire Cobourg, we are better equipped to fight hunger and work toward building a stronger, more resilient Northumberland.”
