The Town of Cobourg has announced a closing of its offices and some municipal buildings for a brief period Thursday afternoon

The Town of Cobourg has announced a brief closure Thursday afternoon of many of its offices and some municipal buildings.

The 3-to-4:30 p.m. closing is, in effect, an early closing for the day, since business hours for the Town of Cobourg typically end at 4:30 p.m.

The closure affects building and planning departments, the finance department, legislative services, the Victoria Hall customer service desk, the Concert Hall box office, building maintenance department, as well as the Municipal Law Enforcement and Licensing Department at 201 Second St., Public Works office in Building 7 at 740 Division St., and the Venture 13 office and Economic Development Department at 739 D'Arcy St.

Closures will not impact municipal buildings or programs,, the announcement said. Victoria Hall will remain and accessible to the public, and all essential services will continue to operate.

It also noted some measures that can be taken in the case of some closures.

Finance Department – You can drop off payments via the mailbox located on the west side of the building, off Third St.
