COBOURG

Leading up to a detailed budget review, the Town of Cobourg has provided a draft budget and the opportunity for residents' input on it.

The Town of Cobourg has launched phase two of the Community Engagement survey for the town's 2025 budget on EngageCobourg.ca.

Phase one solicited insight for council on current programs and services for which residents wish to see more funding or staff attention, as well as recommendations for programs and services that align with council's strategic plan.

Now, with draft budgets available, phase two offers residents a chance for further feedback. This survey will be open until 9 a.m. Nov. 22, with staff collecting feedback to forward to council for their Nov. 26 budget meeting.

Three budget meetings lie ahead.

Nov. 13, 3 p.m. - Council hears Community Grant presentations

Nov. 26, 10 a.m. - Council reviews the budget in detail

Nov. 28, 10 a.m. - This additional meeting, if required, will completed the detailed budget review.

Members of the public who wish to speak to council on a budget item may attend these meetings in person or electronically and fill out a Request To Speak form. Speakers may have up to 10 minutes of time to address the matter pertaining to that item.
