Yesterday afternoon, Cobourg Police with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police, Cobourg Fire Department and Canada Coast Guard conducted a search of the Cobourg beach at Victoria Park for a person last seen in the water.

This person was described as a young male, light skin possibly 8 to 12 years old, possibly wearing red swim goggles.  The young male was seen at approximately 3:36 p.m.

The search was discontinued last evening.

Searchers did not locate anyone in the vicinity and no person had been reported missing when the search was called off.
