Councillor Ward 4: Meagan McLean
Photo submitted.
My name is Meagan McLean, but I definitely prefer to be called Meg.
My family and I moved to Trent Hills (Warkworth) 9 years ago after falling in love with the area during the maple syrup festival. That love grew in our time here, which is ultimately why I decided to run for council.
When I’m not roaming around with my camera, you can usually find me at home with my family or spending my days working with municipalities across eastern North America. My career has provided me with a unique set of skills, and understanding about several areas of public sector operations, from grants management, to strategic planning, and public works and water infrastructure.
Over the last few years, I’ve had the opportunity to moderate our town facebook group, allowing me to engage with thousands of community discussions. I’ve worked hard to keep my own opinions separate from that role, and when there are decisions to be made, I believe the community should have a voice in making them.
My main priority in running for councillor of Ward 4 is to be a community representative that people feel they can come to with questions, concerns and hopes for Trent Hills. Someone our residents can trust to thoroughly research, to listen, and make decisions based on what’s best for Trent Hills, without personal bias or preference coming into play.
Thank you for your consideration!
