Emilio Ojeda is a community builder, public servant, educator, and longtime Northumberland County resident running to represent Ward 4 on Trent Hills Council.

Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Emilio holds a degree in Business Administration and immigrated to Canada with his family in 2007. In 2011, his family purchased a home in the area as a cottage - a refuge from city life. They quickly fell in love with the community and made Northumberland their permanent home in 2013. For Emilio, Trent Hills became the village they needed to raise their children.

Emilio serves as Settlement Services Coordinator with Northumberland County and brings extensive experience in community development, economic development, governance, inclusion, education, tourism, grant writing, and public service. He is a former Trent Hills’s school board trustee and has served the community through numerous organizations and initiatives, including the former chair of the Warkworth Community Pantry (food bank) , Trent Hills Development Advisory Committee, Director of the Regional Tourism Organization 8, chair of the Northumberland Hispanic Cultural Club, and vice-chair of the Trent Hills Auto & Motorcycling Club. His community work has included helping revitalize Chrome on the Canal and promoting Trent Hills as a diverse and welcoming, diverse destination to live, work, and visit.

Emilio believes municipal leadership should be accessible, transparent, collaborative, and practical. His campaign is built around ten priorities:

Roads, Rural Infrastructure & Connectivity (Cellular service and Hight Speed Internet)

Responsible Growth

Affordable Housing

Health Care

Supporting Local Business

Recreation, Parks & Community Spaces

Taxes & Municipal Services

Agriculture & Rural Life

Environment & Water

Community Engagement

Emilio’s vision is simple: to protect what makes Trent Hills special while creating opportunities for future generations.

Local Leadership. Community First.
