Cobourg Police said a person initially thought missing has been located in good health.

On Wednesday afternoon, shortly before 2 p.m., police initiated a search after receiving a report of a missing person.

There was concern that the individual may have entered Lake Ontario near the south end of Hibernia Street, prompting a response from several emergency services.

A short time later, the missing person was located at their home in good health, and the search was called off.
