Three motorists cited for stunt driving on Highway 401

Northumberland OPP are reminding motorists to follow the speed limits on major highways, after laying stunt charges in three separate traffic incidents recently.
August 25, at around 11:00 p.m., officers conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 401 westbound in the Municipality of Brighton stopped a vehicle travelling 178 km/h. A Pickering man is charged.
August 16, shortly before 4:00 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle travelling 165 km/h on Highway 401 westbound in the Township of Cramahe. A Scarborough man is facing charges.
August 13, shortly before 10:00 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle travelling 158 km/h on Highway 401 eastbound in the Municipality of Brighton. A London man was cited.
All three drivers received a 30 day licence suspension and had their vehicle impounded for 14 days.
