Cobourg Police lay charges in alleged theft

A Cobourg woman is facing several charges in an alleged shoplifting incident.

On Monday, at approximately 2:15 p.m., police responded to a report of shoplifting at a business in the area of Strathy Road in Cobourg.

Staff reported that a woman selected merchandise and left the store without paying.

The woman was located nearby and arrested and charged with theft. She was held for a bail hearing.
