Cobourg woman charged with assault

A Cobourg woman is facing spousal abuse charges in an alleged incident from Tuesday.

Officers on patrol in Cobourg, observed a man who appeared to have visible scratches and cuts on his body.

Police claim the man had been assaulted in a home, where the property was also damaged.

The woman will appear in court at a later date.
